Israel Rejected Ceasefire Proposal that Favored Hezbollah

Prime Minister’s Office:
Reports about a ceasefire are incorrect. This was a Franco-American proposal, to which the Prime Minister did not even respond.

Reports about a supposed directive to moderate fighting in the North are also the opposite of the truth. The Prime Minister instructed the IDF to continue fighting with full force according to the plans presented to him. Furthermore, the fighting in Gaza will continue until all war objectives are achieved.

No Rewards for Hezbollah Terrorists
Israel rejected a ceasefire proposal on Thursday night, which the United States and France attempted to promote, as reported by Reuters. According to reports this morning, it was a 21-day ceasefire, during which Israel would not be required to withdraw from Gaza, while negotiations with Lebanon and Hezbollah would continue regarding a comprehensive border agreement.

According to a diplomatic source, Minister Ron Dermer informed U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein that Israel will continue its war in Lebanon and does not agree with the proposals being made.
